Mother's Day!

Mother's Day was fun! Yes I'm a week late posting....again. After church the family came over and we had a barbecue. Before they arrived Erika, Greg and Glenn gave me a gift. It's a purse I've been wanting for over a year but wouldn't dream of buying for myself. I learned about Harvey's seatbelt purses from Elisa. (Thank you, Elisa. She has a purple one) This is the one I just happen to point out to Erika when I showed her the website.

The kids gave Erika some homemade gifts and a ring that says "mom" on it. She had seen it in an ad and liked it. The kids asked me to help them get it for her.
My Mom!! We had a great afternoon visiting with the family.
Roses from Glenn. Aren't they beautiful? Aren't I spoiled?

Yes, I'm Spoiled!

As I've mentioned before (click here) Glenn spoils me. These are the roses I received on Valentine's day. Aren't they beautiful?
We went to a movie and dinner. It was a simple evening but didn't turn out quite the way we'd planned. Glenn got off of work an hour early and I met him at the PD. We drove to the movie theater to see a movie we really wanted to see.

We walked up to the window to buy our tickets.

"I'm sorry. The newspaper printed the wrong times. That movie doesn't start for 2 more hours."
So we chose a new movie that was starting right away. We'd heard good things about. Well....it wasn't terrible.

After the movie we went to Marie Callendars. Nothing fancy, we just wanted our favorite quiche meal. Obviously Marie Callendars isn't 'the' romantic place to go on Valentine's day. Ha! We only had to wait 10 minutes to be seated. Didn't need menus, we knew exactly what we wanted. The waiter came back a few minutes later.
"I'm sorry. We're out of the quiche"

It's all good! Glenn & I were together and we had a great time! :)

17 Wonderful Years!

Our anniversary was on Saturday, November 24. It's been 17 great years together. We're going away next weekend to celebrate to our favorite spot....Sycamore Mineral Springs. Before heading up north to Sycamore we're taking an overnight flight on Thursday to Texas for the Packer/Cowboy game. Go Packers!

I'm one of those lucky wives who receives beautiful flowers each year on special occasions. I dry 2 out of each bouquet and have a pretty gold basket full of dried flowers. It's hard to tell from the picture but for this year's anniversary roses Glenn picked out deep reds and multi-colored pinks. They're beautiful!
